Obviously I didn't try too hard to be calm and subdued in my praise because one can see that I rated it 5 stars; however, I think I will start with why I don't think it is a 5-star book.

My mum passed on New Year’s Eve day last, and now I stand on the cusp of the first Mother’s Day since. The next day, the truck is spotted near a national forest and Mack joins officers in canvassing the area.After experiencing several tragedies in his life he spent a lot of time trying to figure out who God is and with the encouragement of his wife wrote this novel as a gift to his children. I for one am offended; certainly God can be represented as an african-american woman, but I do not find these ideas mind-blowing. However, Willie and Nan tell him that they believe him, and the knowledge that Mack gained during his time at the shack allows the police to recover Missy's body and catch the Little Ladykiller.
