About this deal

A peculiar thing about the Remington HC4300 is an American company produces it, but at the moment, it seems to be only on sale in the UK, Europe, and Australia and not in the USA. Originally, growing a beard was a way to save time when getting ready each day, but I quickly realized that keeping a neatly trimmed beard takes work and some forethought. The neckline when shaving from the bottom of the neck upwards is so easy to do with the large blade and the palm-held design.

The Remington HC3400 and the older HC4250 are the best self-cut DIY hair clippers I have used so far.To reduce any confusion, this review is about the Remington HC4500 or HC4500AU which is the Pro version. However, I do find it peculiar that the power attachment section is right next to the gap for cleaning. Here’s the catch – innovative and slick as it is, this Remington cordless clipper still has a few letdowns.

This means the Quick Cut Hair Clipper can be held in position when trimming hard-to-reach places like the back of your head. Just be cautious if you are shaving the precious crown jewels, and keep the blades a short distance from the skin as they can pinch the skin. Moving onto the combs, the fact that the largest comb is some measly 5/8″ (15mm) is a bit disappointing. However, because it does speed things up a little, those who aren’t used to cutting their own hair might find that the Quick Cut is a bit hasty (like we did), and before you know it you’ve gone and taken a little bit more off than you were expecting. Most of the time it is not from a defective clipper, but a lack of proper clipper cleaning that is the culprit.
