About this deal

As with any on-camera flash aimed directly at the subject, the light is hard and not particularly flattering. The battery compartment has a micro USB connector, which is used to update the firmware of the lamp. This is not a real issue from the photographer’s perspective as it allows them to focus, but the subject gets blinded.

The firmware update allows for cross-TTL and cross-HSS by converting the receiving flashes to accept the signal from the master of a different brand. To obtain a correct flash exposure, use a hand-held flash meter to determine the required flash output.Dedicated flash for digital cameras, working in TTL system with vertical and horizontal tilting torch, 24-105 zoom, AF support, multiflash, HSS. At the time of writing, the long-awaited Profoto A1 for Fujifilm has not materialised and is no longer a priority product for the company.

Whatever type of flash system you need, there are options that can deliver TTL and HSS for all the latest Fujifilm cameras. I'm about to sell all my Canon gear and several 600 EX Speedlites to get these new Godox v860 Ii F2s for off camera TTL radio controlles Speedlite work.By switching the unit off and back on again, regardless of how long you wait, the overheat protection gets turned off.

With Godox delivering such a great range of Fujifilm dedicated flashes, the pressure is off Fujifilm to develop more units themselves. Yes, it isn’t a Fuji EF-X500 flash and it doesn’t have the quality construction of an EF-X500, but it does what it is supposed to achieve and it does it well.If there are other wireless flash systems nearby, you can change the channel IDs to prevent signal interference.
