About this deal
One cool thing about the Space Wolf box is that its Reivers can also be assembled as the ‘Hounds of Morkai’, a unique Space Wolves variant unit.

The Space Marines, all of the chapters who get Combat Patrol boxes, all are performing extra well, I think, because they have those Impulsors in there. Unlike other Chapters they do not recruit or train their own Marines – instead they draw their forces from other Space Marine Chapters, with individuals joining the Deathwatch either temporarily or, more rarely, permanently, serving a tour of duty with these specialist alien-hunters.
Even though these Deathwatch Space Marines are the most skilled, they’re still easy to paint like their brethren.

In Combat Patrol games, each player commands a compact army of Warhammer miniatures in fast-paced, action-packed clashes. The combination of a Lieutenant and an Apothecary is a much more tactical pairing and will force you to use cover and a range of tactics to slay the xeno filth.Experts in close combat and inspired by unbreakable morale and will, the Black Templars advance at a relentless pace. A good power, giving you a lot of different pieces all at once to improve a unit’s prospects in melee. g. getting a bit more value out of volume of fire from Aggressors or something when hosing down a big nasty, though in melee this just replicates what Gene-wrought Might from the base codex does.

The 9th Edition Warhammer 40k Deathwatch codex supplement, which was released in November 2020, provides details for all the unique Deathwatch units and army-wide special rules – but, as a ‘supplement’, you’ll also need Codex Space Marines to properly operate the army. They clone bodies and engineer them to match the resourcefulness and physical attributes of Space Marines and are part of the Imperium. These cost additional points and apply to the whole kill team, with each one conferring re-roll 1s to wound against a particular Battlefield Role, or re-roll all wounds if you selected that Battlefield Role for your Xenos Hunters tactic (except Aquila, which instead lets you pick a second battlefield role for Xenos Hunters, and re-roll 1s to wound against either). Combat Patrols are a viable way to get started with Warhammer 40K and get all you need in one neat box. Personally i take captains with dominus aegis purely because my librarian has yet to make it to turn two without suffering perils.
