at this point i’m pretty sure jessa isn’t capable of writing a story that doesn’t revolve around magnolia. Two stars for Daisy and Christian but even that fell short to me because they were side characters in their own book. A clear theme in the series is how the female leads use men as coping mechanisms and jump between guys, which I know is because they’re being portrayed as real and flawed.She’s sitting right next to me three years later like a deadweight wrapped around my heart’s fucking ankle. Daisy Haites thought she’d left everything about her old life in the past: the crime, her family and the man she loves. I’ve never felt like this and it’s now, right now, this exact second that I realise I am in love with Daisy Haites.

She mentioned once that Magnolia is based off of a younger version of herself and once I read that it all made more sense and I can’t get out of my head how narcissistic and vain this writing is. And although I found the whole thing with his father a massive what the fuck I’ll take it over the rest. I found myself feeling frustrated that Tiller and Daisy were drawn out for almost half of the book when that time could have been used on Daisy and Christian.I'm already suffering for the way both of them are going to feel guilty about Bridget, and in some point is fair because he wasn't honest with her about what was happening in his life and she did get involved with a gang lord without thinking in the consequences. On top of this unbearable mess with Magnolia (made worse by her usual dumb ass and whiny behavior) I’m convinced the author doesn’t know shit about how the mafia works because WHO in their right minds would hold a mafia G6 meeting in their own fucking house (which by the way the police knows very well) and survive it? Daisy Haites thought she’d left everything about her old life in the past: the crime, her family, and the man she loves.
