About this deal

If you've upgraded to modern wheels that aren't compatible with your bike's existing disc brakes, the Shimano 6-Bolt to CentreLock Adaptor (RTAD05) may be exactly what you need.

The lock ring on this adapter would mean a standard BB tool could secure it as it is externally splined.I have DT SWISS hubs with oversized end caps on the front so unable to get an internally splined cassette tool in on the standard Shimano lock ring.

Use this disc brake rotor adapter to attach the 6-bolt mount type disc brake rotor to CENTER LOCK mount type hub.My buddy gave me some raceface carbon wheels w/6 bolt hubs to use and my current centerlock XTR rotors won't work.

On the topic of the thread: The reason there will never be a 6-bolt to centerlock conversion is that you would literally need to cut off all the "lobes" on the 6-bolt hub for the centerlock to even fit where it needs to go. So I know there's a ton of different kits to convert your 6 bolt rotor to fit on a centerlock hub, but does the revrse exist? The whole reason the conversion works from centerlock to six-bolt is because centerlock mounts on a [significantly] smaller diameter. SHIMANO's SM-RTAD05 disc brake rotor adaptor is used for installing a 6-bolt disc brake rotor to CENTER LOCK hub. I am facing the same problem with my center lock rotors and 6bolt hub, can I conclude just a 6bolt rotor is a cheapest option?
